Moved to Israel with wife and three daughters in 1979.

Worked for a year on a cooperative farm in Gush Katif on the Gaza Strip.

Moved to Kiryat Arba in 1980 where he worked as Public Relations Director for the Jewish Community in Hebron.

Two more children born in Israel, a boy and a girl.  Two daughters are married and Gary and Andrea are grandparents to two girls and a boy, with another two children expected in the coming months.

During the first Intifada served as voluntary foreign press spokesman for the Kach Movement under Knesset Member Rabbi Meir Kahane.

Also served as part time voluntary foreign press spokesman for the community of Kiryat Arba.

In 1986 became Director of Public Relations for the Nir College of Judaic Studies in Kiryat Arba where he worked with the Rosh Yeshiva (Dean) and former Knesset Member Rabbi Eliezer Waldman.

In 1996, in reaction to inspiring visits to Hebron by many Christian groups and individuals who expressed a strong support for Biblical Zionism, established Project Shofar as a special project of the yeshiva.

As founder and Executive Director of Project Shofar, Inc., which is now a USA 501c3 non profit corporation registered in the state of Florida, Gary makes semi annual visits to the states to speak to Jews about coming home to Israel, and to Christians who wish to support his efforts. Project Shofar has a volunteer work force in a small church near Orlando Florida which handles the project's financial affairs, sends out mailings and hosts Gary when he is in the states.

Born in New York City on August 14, 1945, VJ Day.

Graduated C.W. Post College of Long Island University in the Humanities department with a major in English.

Taught English in the New York City Public School system for ten years.

While teaching in a slum district in the Bronx, headed an ad hoc committee comprised of teachers, parents, a local pastor and Congresswoman to enhance services for the children in the school.

Served as founding President of the Mid Nassau Jewish Community Council.
